Today Hyndla welcomes the very experienced electrical engineer Hans Vagn Erichsen.

We are pleased to have Hans on board as our electrical expert. Hans has over 35 years of experience in the field and is a leading expert in EMC, earthing and lightning protection for offshore wind installations. Hans has held several senior positions as a specialist were he among other responsibilities has developed testing, verification and documentation methodology, been in charge of EMC, earthing and lightning protection strategy and planning, and overseen sub supplier agreements, requirements, designs, inspections and documentation.

Hans has also been a key contributor in developing both national and international standards for lighting protection. He was part of the Danish national standardization committee for EMC and Lighting protection from 1998 to 2011 and again in 2018, and has been part of the International standardization committee since 2006, were he has been a part of the working group writing the IEC 61400-24 Lightning Protection of Wind turbines standard both first and second edition, among other works. Hans has also been a frequent contribuer at international conferences such as the International Conference on Lightning and Static Electricity.

After his engineering degree from the Engineering College of Aarhus Hans has worked with companies such as Force Technology, Vestas, Polytech and Dong Energy Wind power (Ørsted) before running his own consulting firm, HVE Consulting, from 2018 to 2021.
