Hyndla expands engineering team

Welcome Joakim Aavitsland!

Last week Hyndla welcomed the latest addition to the team, mechanical engineer Joakim Aavitsland.

Joakim is a talented and highly motivated engineer who will jump right in and be an important part of our engineering and 3D design team working with both mechanical outfitting of offshore wind transition pieces and transmission tower engineering.

He recently completed his mechanical engineering degree at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and OsloMet. His emphasis was on construction mechanics and FEM analysis and he has several years of experience with both Autodesk Inventor and Ansys. He wanted to work with environmentally friendly solutions and here at Hyndla he will definitely have the opportunity to do so.

In addition, Joakim has studied a year course in physics at the University of Agder and he has worked in the Norwegian process industry where he obtained valuable insight into industrial production processes. He also likes to test out new designs on his own 3D printer in his spare time.

We are very pleased to have Joakim on board!
